Why are gutters important?

Gutters clogged with everything from leaves and twigs can cause expensive and dangerous home repair nightmares. Rainwater washing over your gutters can accumulate in pools around walls and foundations. This can result in leaky and cracked foundations or flooded basements. No Worry Gutters prevent leaves, twigs, acorns, or other debris from collecting in your gutters allowing the water to run smoothly through the gutter and away from your home.

No Worry Gutters also keep water from seeping down your home's exterior or accumulating around your foundation, and in winter they help prevent ice buildups on roofs.

What are some reasons to replace my gutters?

1. Clogged or leaky gutters are one of the biggest causes of basement leaks, mold and other foundation problems. Also, standing water in gutters is one of the common places mosquitoes breed – mosquitoes are known disease carriers.

2. Old worn out gutters look ugly and reduce the value of your property.

3. Your old gutters may have become bent or dented or may be pulling away from your property in a manner that they cannot just be reattached or reworked.

4. Your old seamed gutters may have begun to pull apart or have drippy leaks and you would like to replace them.

5. You want to change the color of your gutters.

6. The drainage of your current guttering is not sufficient so you want to install a larger size gutter and downspout system. Most homes and commercial properties have 5 inch gutters with 2x3 downspouts, but we can install 6 inch gutters with 3x4 downspouts when necessary.

How can I tell if my gutters aren’t draining properly?

If during a rainfall, you can hear the water slapping the ground, pouring over the sides of the gutter, there may be a blockage or the gutter itself may not be aligned evenly. If you notice paint peeling or corroded wood that means the gutter is most likely clogged and is causing the water to overflow and run down the back of gutter along the exterior walls of the house. If you notice mold or if you see puddles of water forming around the outside of your house it's a sure sign that there are drainage problems.

What are the different types of gutters available?

All gutters are either sectional or seamless. They come in various materials, sizes and colors. See our How It Compares page for more details.

Do gutters come in various shapes and sizes?

Yes. Most gutters come in several shapes and sizes called profiles. These include U-shape as well as K-shape configurations. In K-shape configurations the ogee-shaped front looks like the letter K allowing the system to have more of a crown molding look rather than a boxy appearance. No Worry Gutters are done in both 5" and 6" K-shaped style gutter system. See our How It Works page for more details.

Why should I replace my gutters if there is nothing wrong with them? Isn’t it easier and cheaper to just cover them up to prevent them from clogging?

Your conventional gutter was designed to be cleaned regularly. Even the best add-on gutter covers often compromise the integrity of the roof. At best they allow longer periods between cleanings, and when cleaning is necessary, they must often be uninstalled to give access to the trough. In the long run, your best bet is to go with No Worry Gutters which were designed to be maintenance-free. You will never have to clean or replace your gutters again! We Guarantee it!

Can I install gutters on my own?

Certainly, if you are a regular Mr. Do-it-yourself and are comfortable on a ladder, you can put up sectional gutters but you’ll need a qualified professional to install the seamless gutters. Request an estimate by clicking here.

Will No Worry Gutters cause ice damming?

No! No Worry Gutters will in fact prevent ice damming during the winter months so water will not pool in the gutters and freeze. Ice damming is a condition where water is unable to drain through the gutters and instead seeps into the house causing water to drip from the ceiling and walls. Ice build-up that leads to ice damming can also damage your roof and fascia boards.

How does No Worry Gutters compare to screens and other products on the market?

Screens and other products that feature vertical slots, louvers or other openings can allow leaves and debris to migrate downward and clog water channels. So, leaves and debris may stay out of your gutters, but so may the rainwater!

No Worry Gutters have no vertical openings and its nose-forward design prevents leaves and debris from entering your gutter system. That means that gravity works for you, not against you. The nose-forward position of No Worry Gutters is designed so that the leaves and debris that moves down the roof fall harmlessly over the extended nose and straight down to the ground below. The physics of simple water surface tension causes water to flow around the nose-forward cover design and back into your gutters. See our How It Compares page for more details.

How will No Worry Gutters affect the look of my home? What colors are available?

No Worry Gutters are designed to blend into the natural architectural style of your home. Sixteen (16) colors are available so that an installed system becomes an almost invisible year-round protection from the damage caused by overflowing gutters. Go to the Gutter Colors page to see what colors you have to choose from. Gutter top can be matched to the color of your roof, and gutter trough can be matched to the color of your trim! No Worry Gutters' K-shaped style also allows the system to have more of a crown molding appearance rather than a boxy look of some styles.

How are No Worry Gutters installed?

S&K’s No Worry Gutters system uses a unique design that tucks under the drip edge of your existing roof, causing the speed of water flow to slow - sort of like a water speed bump. Then, its aluminum hood forms a molecular bond with the water, directing water, but not debris, into the gutter. Finally, the Water Brake system inside of the gutter forces the bonded water to break free of the hood and flow directly into the center of the trough, and ultimately into the large 3"x4" downspouts for maximum water flow.

Can I be sued if one of your installers falls or injures someone while working on my home?

Our installers are true professionals and take the utmost care in setting up a safe work zone. They spend most of their days working in what some would call a dangerous situation, however accidents do happen. That's why we carry complete liability insurance and workman's comp, which protects the home owner and anyone who will visit the property while work is being done.

What does "Limited Lifetime Warranty" mean?

Limited Lifetime Warranty means that your product will be free of defects for the life of the product. This does not mean the product will last your lifetime. In order words, if you move or sell your house, the gutter warranty will no longer be applicable to the new home owners.
